Okay, well this week went by pretty dang fast but I have loved it! It's been hard but I just love it!
I just wanna tell a few highlights of my week!!
#1 So remember Elder lopez who I gave the blessing to? The miracle happened and he went to the hospital and the doctors said that something happened to where he did not have to get surgery on his spine anymore!! The doctor said this has never happened and so he's good he came back like the next day and just layed in bed! He was soo grateful for the blessing I gave him! because he can walk now!! It was such a testimony builder of this amazing priesthood that I have the great responsibility to hold!
#2 I had another great opportunity to give another blessing and it was cool. This one I did in Spanish! It was for our teacher! He came in during language study which is around 9ish.. and his eyes were just red and bulgy and just really really bad! He had to drive home and he was like Elder Hammond I want you to give me a blessing.. and it just reminded me of my patriarchal blessing that I'll have the opportuinity to give many!! (it says priesthood blessings) and I was like I would love too! The next day he came in and his eyes were fine and he gave me a sweet note it was really special! I love this gospel!
#3 We did a service project! I just love the service projects!! They make me happy! haha I LOVE IT!! We cleaned the houses this week! It was super fun! We cleaned the toiletes and I've never had so much fun! I just sing these new songs in spanish that I make up and everybody just laughs! haha Everybody knows me by the beat boxing singing happy guy who will say hi to everyone! It's the best thing ever! I love it!!
#4 I got to be a HOST! When new people come in we took them around! It just made me grateful I was not in their shoes just kidding I loved doing that!!
#5 The latinos left… This saturday night! and literally they made my night every single night! haha they were the best! We would seriously every night have like 20 latinos come over to our apartment to talk to me because I could beat box and others would rap and I would sing the lessons in spanish is was super cool and super sad because I love them soo much! I love latinos! They are the best ever!! haha
#6 Spanish is coming slowly... but it's coming... I love it!! haha I love spanish! l Love not knowing what people say! But i can totally teach with no notes to our investigadors! who knows what I am saying or if I am making sense but they nod their head so its like awesome! and I just go with it... haha
#7 Well this is what I've learned right now! One of the coolest things here is that we are soldiers!
WE are in the army of God!! And we are on the front lines of it! like in Jacob 5:70! We are few! But we are strong! I love being a part of this great army with the name of our brother Jesus Christ on our chest! How amazing of a priviledge is that? To have the best, perfect, loving brother who died for all of us and have his name on our chests! Is the best priviledge you could ever have! And we need to be ready to wield this sword of truth throughtout the entire world! We can't prepare on the plane coming! It takes years! and I am so glad like nephi to be born of goodly parents who LOVE!!! this gospel!! I love this gospel!! I love his church!! I love his love for all of us!! This gospel is true!! This work is greater and more precious than receiving the medal of honor it is more important than solving a new element or solving fusion is it GODS!! work!! and I LOVE!! being on his front lines bringing people to his church!!
Love
Elder Hammond
