2nd week in the Mexico City CCM!
Hola mi familia y todo!
Gosh I HAVE THE BEST MOM EVER!! Thanks so much for the donuts! Everybody loved them Mom!! And thanks so much for the letter! I got a letter from britt too! It was amazing! haha thank you thank you thank you so much my wonderful amazing Mom! Your'e the best eveer!!!
Are you guys sure it's only been the 2nd week? because I think I've been out like 2 months now! haha but wow this week has been an absolute crazy and emotional and hard working week! I'll just go off my lists with what I want to tell you! Because last week I was just a mess and soo sstressed and soo anxious to tell you everything so I am going to kinda slow down and tell you everything!
Companion: so turns out my companion is from odgen utah, he eats the bugs that are on the ground and that are in my apartment.. yeah.. its soo yeah! haha he is better than most as companions go but he doesn't work and he doesn't know any Spanish haha and so its super hard to teach the 30 minute lesson all in Spanish when he doesn't know any! haha but yeah pero esta bien! haha also at night he just tells me about the bunnies he kills and all the necks he has broken from racoons and chickens.. haha yeah I know how to break a neck of a chicken now haha but yeah that's my companion.
Weather: the weather here is legit! It rains soooo much!! like literally on sunday it rained 5 inches!!! It went through our umbrella and we were soaked! It went above the grass and the gutters it was a foot high! ohh my gosh it was nuts!!!! The thunder here is soo awesome!! haha
Food: the food here is pretty good everybody has the runs... yeah it's great.. haha but sometimes you just eat what they give you Mom and Dad I am so grateful you taught me to not be picky because I just eat and eat and eat!!
The language... it is soo hard! Everybody here well like the teachers don't speak any English well like they dooo but it's about as much Spanish as I know so not much like at all! haha it's very hard when the investigator is talking to you and you don't understand him, so you can't help him with what he needs!
Gym: I do about 125 push-ups every single day! haha I play basketball and volleyball! haha its soooo fun! Gym time is just the best it's the only time where I can go and forget about home about Spanish and just play and sweat and work hard!! I love it! It's fun too because all of the elders here want me to play ball with all of them!
Bugs and bugs.. Well last night I stayed up till 12:30 killing mosquitos around my head! hah how fun right!? haha They are just landing on you as you sleep and you hear them buzz by your ear so we have blood marks on our walls because we smash the ones that have already bitten us.. yeah super awesome!
Mom the temple here in mexico is like sinking apparently... soo we don't get to go to the temple at all! But we get to go to the visitors center which is pretty nice I guess too!
Sunday: we sang and I totally gave my talk about the Atonement in Spanish it had to be 5 minutes haha completely in Spanish it's awesome and soo nerve wracking! and then we sang I am a child of God for our sacrament meeting it was pretty good!
This week! I don't have much time left but this week has been rough.. the Spanish is coming and we teach investigators tomorrow who are legitimately inactive or non members through skype tomorrow.. how fun.. and they don't speak any English! haha yeah it's soo great... but I love i! It's hard but its good! haha
Here at the CCM everybody knows me for the guy who doesn't stop smiling! haha it's so funny I say Hi to everybody I see! Hermanas and Elders haha everyone knows when I pass them I say hi! Yes most of the time I am faking the smile and its so hard to be happy especially because the Spanish and the investigators are soo hard, but as long as you keep on smiling you make it! Sundays are the best days ever! I love them! Elder David Bednar gave an amazing talk that just lifted all of us up! Everyone is having such a hard time here but its good!! I love my family soo much you guys are just the best best family in the whole world!
Love
