This week has been AMAZING!! Like super super amazing! We have been working super hard and we have seen and had some amazing experiences!!
On tuesday we had our district meeting! I am the district leader (not a big deal) so I shared a message about how we need to use our time wisely and the Lord will bless us if we are obedient! If we are obedient we will see and have miracles!! It went pretty good!! After that, we worked super hard! We invited alot of people to get baptized. We are trying to get to know the area a little better!!
We had the interview on tuesday for Maykol our investigator that was going to get baptized. It went super good, he passed and everything ESO!
On wednesday we went to a town called El Guabo its about 30 minutes away from Machala. We had to go there because there was someone I had to interview for baptism. They lived in the smallest home... I just wanted to cry. It was made of super wood and they have 11 people sleeping in the same home! Super super poor! But the gospel is for everyone!!! It does not matter rich or poor!! It was amazing and she was soo humble and listo para bautizarse!! (ready for baptism)
On wednesday and thursday we went and worked and worked. We have been putting new baptism dates and just trying so hard to find people to get baptized so we can be baptizing every single week. That's my goal and I'm GOING to complete it!! So we had one this past week and we have 3 more this week and 3 more the next. So we are working super hard and good!!
Super cool on sunday it was fast and testimony meeting, I bore my testimony of the Book of Mormon and the atonement of Jesus Christ! It felt good! After church the sisters in a different area wanted us to give a blessing to an investigador! So, of course we went and after the blessing he said I could feel your power and I could literally feel energy working through my body. Thanks soo much for the blessing it was just a testimony builder that the priesthood is real!!
After that I met 2 people that might have known my Mom in the mission, they both served in Quito!! She asked if I knew an Elder Hammond that was a General Authority and I said WITH HONOR! That's my Grandpa!! Then she looked down and I could tell she was crying.. she said... your Grandpa is one the the best men I know on this planet! He will never remember me but I will forever remember him.. he gave me gum one time to me and my kids when they would not stop crying! And I finally get to meet his grandson!! Then I started to cry because I knew my Grandpa is a MIGHTY servant of the Lord and is a disciple of Jesus Christ!!
I LOVE THIS WORK!! I got to go!! I'm so excited to talk to you on Sunday!! love you soo much!!! from Machala!!
Look at our investigators that are coming with the Book of Mormon!!
