Feb. 27, 2016 Guayaquil

Feb. 27, 2016 Guayaquil  Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!!

This week has been amazing! We have just been going non stop, working our brains off in the WHOLE mission! We have decided we need to step it up more and BAPTIZE MORE!
Here's a story super fast from this week.   We went to Santa Rosa to a pueblito called Pasaje. It was raining like crazy and the sisters there had a baptism, that we could baptize! Things started getting low and she said  " I don't want to get baptized tomorrow, I want to get baptized in March" and this and that!  Then I finally raised my voice and SAID HERMANA USTED TIENE QUE BAUTIZARSE HOY DIA! HOY DIA! No manaƱa or in March pero HOY a las 6 en la tarde! Sister, you have to be baptized today! Not tomorrow or in March but today at 6:00.  Tears came down her face and she said!  I WILL!! And if I get baptized your going to do it Elder Hammond and I'm going to get baptized in a river! Just like Jesus! So I did the interview right then and there! Got baptismal clothes and baptized her in the pitch black in the pitch deep forest of Ecuador! there couldn't have been anything more beautiful or neat about that!

PEOPLE NEED THIS GOSPEL and THEY NEED IT TODAY!! The prophets and apostles aren't messing around, salvation is today! Baptisms need to occur for salvation and we are the Lords instruments to carry that out!! I love this work and we're going to keep on working hard! love you I have no time left!! I LOVE YOU!!

Feb. 13, 2016 Guayaquil

Feb. 13, 2016 Guayaquil

THIS WEEK!! This week has been amazing!  We have had the great opportunity to have the last 2 Multi Zones in Cuenca and in Loja! They went really well! When we went to Cuenca, President had a treat for us… we went to Ingapirka! An amazing place where the Incas were! It was really Fun! I could just imagine huge war battles between the Nefitas and Lamanitas where we were at! It was the most fun thing I've done on the mission! It was really great!

Then went to Loja! It was REALLY COLD!  I didn’t bring a jacket, I just had my suit! I had to borrow one, but yeah mom you know what I mean. Your body gets used to the warm. We got there and found out that the hot water there doesn't work!! SOOOO COOLD!  Just imagine, like taking a shower with colder water than  “Warm River” water! haha  And the weather is like 50 degrees! I have hair-chest after those 2 days haha but it was really good! While we were working I wanted to visit a few of my people I taught there. I went to the house of David, he came running and just came and balled his eyes out when he saw me! He was so happy, he was like ELDER HAMMOND! It was super special!
Yesterday we got back at like 10:00. Now, this week we have MORE stuff to do. It’s leadership training council on Tuesday.
I love it! I love this work soo much!! I love being the Lords servant! I love bearing His name on my chest! I love bearing testimony of the Book of Mormon and reading that amazing book EVERYDAY! It’s amazing. I love you soo much!! Have an amazing week! It’s sure amazing here in Ecuador!!

Feb. 6, 2016 Guayaquil

Feb. 6, 2016 Guayaquil
It's carnival here so for the next 3 days you get soaking wet.  We will have to come in early, yipee! Haha I have really felt your prayers, thank you so much! My suit was stollen, so I am borrowing till I can get one. I wanted to wear my same suit home that I came in. But, it's ok! I guess they needed it more than me. No worries I'll get it all worked out.
This week has been pretty amazing! First we started here in Guayaquil! On Tuesday we had a meeting  in Guayaquil!  My companion and I got up at 5 to go running because we try to go running every day!  So we got up at 5 to go running and then got there and started everything at 7! It went really good! We talked about Conversion and being focused on The Book of Mormon and how the Atonement will help us to be more converted, not only us but our investigators! So I hope they felt the sprit! The missionaries were super pumped there! There are about 4 sisters in all of Guayaquil because it’s pretty dangerous for sisters but it was good!!

On Thursday we went to Machala and Santa Rosa!  We pretty much shared the same thing it went really well. The missionaries just need more FIRE in their eyes and I hope they got the message. We need to pick up the reins and start baptizing more because that is what we have been called to do!  And that's what were  going to do! On Friday we got back passed through Naranjal and that was amazing! Turns out 2 of my converts there are going or have plans to be sealed this MARCH! ESO!! Thats a milagro (miracle) itself! This week has been pretty amazing! Nothing pretty much that is new!  Were just working hard! It’s just an amazing blessing to be the right hand of president and learn of him and about him! It’s the best EVER!!! I love this work and we are going to keep working harder and harder, even if we are tired as heck and we feel that we cant! I love it!! Love you all, I'm praying for you!!
